Each keyfob has an RFID chip in it that is programmed to a specific car; spare keys that you purchase from the dealer or a place like NeedsWings get programmed for your car before they are shipped to you. Your uncut blades could be cut to work in your locks, but without the programmed chip, they won't start the car. What some folks do that have only one key, is take the chip out and glue it or tape it to the transponder ring, then any properly cut key will start the car, because the chip is always present.
