I'm certain there is an exception here or there scattered about the country, but most dealers no longer have the diagnostic tool required by our Crossfires to preform proper analysis. There is a post in the section "TSBs and How-To Articles" titled Index of Crossfire problems and repairs which is a gold mine of information with links to repairs. You must familiarize yourself with that post. It has been compiled over the years by one of our most active members, onehundred80 who deserves all the credit. You can also download the service manual which I highly recommend.
As to your adjustments on the seats. If the door is open you can make adjustments. When the door is closed you must have the key in the on position. BE AWARE THAT YOU WILL DESTROY THE PLASTIC TOP ON THE PARTITION BEHIND THE SEAT IF YOU ADJUST TOO FAR TO THE REAR!!!! There is no stop built into the seat adjustment that will prevent you from breaking the plastic longitudinal partition. The plastic piece that the seat belt runs up and through will also break. There are no new replacement parts. So do not push the seats back too far.
