What KILLED them both times was the exchange rate. It was semi favorable when the projects were in development, but when it came time to produce cars AND ship them...the blood bath began. The TC cost less to produce because under the skin it was a 1987 Shelby Daytona. Except for the horrible Teves brake system. The one most costly system on the car. Under the Crossfire you still have the cost of a Mercedes.
