I have versions of the Kenwood marine radio in all three cars. The newest one has black text on a white background and is easier (not great but better) than the two older units to read. In the roadsters with the tops down and sunglasses on I have a hard time reading the display. We have pretty serious sun here. I am usually listening to music from my phone via iTunes or the SirriusXM app, so if I need to read the display in the daytime with the top down I can look at the phone display. Even with the display being hard to see I really like the features and ease of use.
