Re: Official Tire Review Thread
I had a set of General's on it when I bought the Crossfire. They were well worn with only 5/32 left.
They were also unidirectional so I had to keep them on the side they were installed on.
AND DID I MENTION THEY WERE LOUD?
I had to replace my speakers because they were blown out. I'm assuming that the PO turned up the volume to drown out the hum.
I do not auto cross or drag race this car. Its simply not quick enough for that (not an SRT). For me its a sporty touring car.
I replaced the rear only with Kumho Majesty 9 Solus 275/35-19. This is an all-season tire non uni directional. Tire rack price delivered to my door $315 for the pair.
I had ASAP mobile tire installation come to my work and install them for $25.00 a tire. That includes stick on weights, new valve stems, and disposal of my old tires.
So far so good...quiet tire with a softer ride then my worn out Generals. My wife and I went for a ride last night and we didn't have to shout at each other....always a pleasure.
