The only downside I see with " Biggest stereo bang for the buck mod " is I think it shortens the life of the rear speaker foam surrounds . The extra bass channeled through the rear puts an extra load on the foam. This foam is slowly degrading and need to be replaced in most of our cars, if not all, it's only a matter of time . After I did the mod my speakers bit the dust 6 months later but I do like loud music
