Most of us in the USA add only 8 quarts during an oil change. Like you, the 1st oil change I performed I added as close to 8 liters (8.45 quarts) as I could measure. I then took the car to a Fontana ToD weekend event. All weekend, driving those twisties, the HI Level indicator kept coming on. When I got home, I siphoned out about a 1/2 quart & no more Hi Level warnings. Since then, I only add 8 quarts during an oil change.
