I used a full bottle of "Simple Green" on a cool motor and sprayed everywhere with the alternator covered with plastic and allowed it to penetrate and then rinsed well with a garden hose. Then remove the plastic and took a drive and allowed the engine heat to dry the engine and engine bay
I then applied "Griots Black Satin"spray to coat all the areas that are black
This product is not intended for engine bays so I did not apply it to the engine itself
