Hello, I'm new here and I have a question y'all might be able to answer. The long story short is I have a M137 5.8 V12 from an S600 going in a '73 Corvette. It's getting Individual throttle bodies and headers, so of course I want a manual, so I went out searching expecting to build an adapter plate, exc. However, I was recommended to look into the Crossfire 6 speed, because it might work. The research I've done shows no answer, so here's my logic.
The crossfire manual transmission bolts directly to the M113. The M113's Automatic was the same 5 speed as used in the S600, so... Maybe? The flywheel bolt pattern looks the same as on the flex plate of the S600, and the 60-2 tooth wheel and starter engagement look the same. But I'm not completely sure. I'm not worried about computers, which seem to be the big hurdle, because with ITB's and everything I'm running an aftermarket ECU. Also not worried about strength for these early stages, If it works well I can always pull it and beef something up.
Does anyone have an idea? Or if someone has a junk flywheel that they would be willing to measure, or a bellhousing they would be willing to measure that would be great.
If it doesn't bolt up, I'm just going back to my old plan of building an adapter. But if I can just bolt something up, It would save a few days in the shop.
Thanks!
