Sounds like they screwed the pooch during the evap replacement. Going back there to notify them of the problem and giving them a chance to correct the problem will tell you if you want them to fix it, or an independent MB/European car shop. Of course, the price to fix may or may not tell you if legal assistance will be needed. Good luck!
