I think black cars look best all black with a touch of chrome. The black and silver trimmed car as it came from the factory looked good as well, I had one.
Anything behind that grille should be blacked out.
The OEM grille hides what is behind it and in my mind has not been bettered. Painting the OEM grille black and or adding chrome to it is an option.
Grilles made from bar stock do not appeal to me.
Nice car though, but a bit too much striping and too many colours, subtlety is the key to success.
