Thanks! I did cover the subs with some heavy-duty high-excursion grills so that I can load up the trunk when needed without worrying about damaging the subs. I have put upwards of 50+ pounds (on each grill) thus far with no problems. You can see the grills in the main pic of this primary post, and I also included more info about them in the article I linked.
And yes, they hit incredibly hard (currently driven with a cheaper 2600-watt amp). Everything shakes in a big way, but there are surprisingly few rattles anywhere to be found.
