Excluding the silver windshield trim peeling clearcoat, which is not uncommon for Crossfires left outside, I've never seen or recall hearing about one having body clear coat peeling issues, so that seems to me would be a very rare one. The German body paint holds up very well. They use a mix of base solvents that cannot be used in the US. With a car with clear coat issues you fix one spot and the clear coat is likely to peel in another spot later. Maybe the car had been cheaply repainted at some time.
