Default Re: Problems with SLK 8 way power seat swap

I did the swap on the passenger seat a year ago. It's an o5 roadster. It changes the seat from a 4 way to an 8 way seat. Its basically R&R if you ordered the right parts and got the right ones shipped. I googled exactly the description in the forum instructions. I compared all the pictures in the forum write up before I bought it, to make sure the 3 motors etc were all there as well as wire harness etc.. My wife loves the fully adjustable feature she has when she's not driving, as do I. Worth the effort in my opinion. When I did it, I also removed the drivers seat and set it up beside the passenger seat on my work table, upside down of course, when I was doing the transplant. Just copy the passenger side, wiring, clips, attachment points etc., the same. The full wiring harness should be in the new rails. You will have to undo some of the original seat harness that is zip tied and tucked in. It all plugs together and the original seat switches on the seat remain. The complete wire harness disconnects with a plug, and stays in the car.
