P0355 Code Dilemma
Hi Fellow Crossfire Members,
I was a member a while back. But have been busy surving cancer and currently have a brain tumor. This has led to the inability for me to address my 2005 Crossfire SRT6 needs. I am now having to seek local mechanics that have any knowledge with respect to this car. Seems like an easy task. Not so much. I believe that I must have the only SRT6 Roadster in New Mexico. I have owned the car since 2005. It now has only 61k miles.
Here is my current dilemma.
Recently my car started stalling at stop lights. Then starting after the engine warming up. And finally, check engine light. And code P0355. I am a well formed retired engineer. Have never had problems with fixing issues especially with the support of this forum. I didn't feel comfortable with replacing the crankshaft position sensor because of the stresses of my current health. I did do what I would consider good diligence. I did find a house with great reviews. I purchased a bosch sensor (called Bosch to confirm support ) and took it in to the shop.
When I went to pick up the car, I asked if they had saved the old sensor. The answer was NO. The ground on the battery did not show signs of being removed.
The question: I was cuious after driving for bit and checking if the P0355 code was still there. It was. Does it take a good 100 miles before reseting? Or should I be concerned?
I need guidence.Sincerely,
Gino
