8.5 is to much for this car period no matter the trim level. The only way I can possibly see this car taking 8.5 and not being overfilled is if you drained the oil and let it drain out for a day or two until no more was dripping out.

If you put 8.5 qts of oil in this car you should get a nice audible chime and your odometer flashing saying oil to high.

To the OP, that first line you showed in your pretty is your power steering line, they all leak a little like that. I would even call it a leak, mine looks the same. If you have oil on your tranny or where the black 2 inspection covers on the bell housing of the trans is that is most likely a rear main seal and will require you to drop the trans to fix. That's a 1k job at minimal. Mine's has been leaking for years and I haven't replaced it. I just wipe it down every few weeks, this is only on this motor and trans. If you visit the Mercedes forums you'll see owners with the m112 talking about rear main leaks.
