Re: New to the site
Hi Pizzaguy, Administrator. I’ve read many of your posts and tips on keeping the Crossfire as the wonderful car that it is. When looking around for a 2 seater sports car I am so, so, glad I did not buy that restored Jensen-Healey, or that C4 Corvette jalopy.
Location: S’ville (short for Smithville) is my zip code, but S’ville is 13 miles away. Very cool Texas town. Kind of a best kept secret.
It’s in the Guiness Book of World Records for baking the tallest self standing ginger bread man. It’s also a hot spot for many movies, Hope Floats being just one. And I ran into Jimmy Vaughn of the Fabulous Thunderbirds at a little antique shop in town so I think he lives around here.
But as the crow flies I’m only 3 miles from Rosanky.
Two interesting things about Rosanky. It has a gas station, a church, and most importantly, a roadhouse, and the roadhouse’s biggest seller besides cold beer on tap are T-shirts that say “Where in the hell is Rosanky”.
The other interesting thing is as you approach the Rosanky Cattle Company Ranch there’s a sign on the edge of the hi way. “Keep Rosanky rural, don’t move here”.
Yeah, I like it.
Am planning on some Crossfire road trips out to the hill country to partake in a winery tasting tour, maybe more than once.
Cheers,
Mick
