You did move the little chip inside the FOB to the new case, didn't you? I know you mentioned it worked fine afterwards but 'working fine' may just be the lock/unlock function which doesn't use that little chip.

I'm sure your talking about the circuit board rather than a little chip. Yes I did switch parts to new housing.
