and true they do nothing for the car but improve the looks but isn't it nice to fix up your car the way you want to and feel good about it.

I believe that ad is misleading. You have to take the temperature of the rotors and pads to see if they reduce heat (which I don't believe it will reduce, but may increase heat). All that ad does is show the outside temperature of the material they use to cover the calipers which I believe is just reflecting most of the heat inside those covers. Air is an insulator, if there is any airspace between the covers and the calipers, a lot of the heat will reflect back and/or flow around the covers. Check the temp's of the rotors and calipers, not exterior of a cover not originally part of the calipers. I believe you'll see an increase in temperatures on the covered side rotor and calipers..
