I wonder how many Crossfire's are driving around with an anti freeze that is not recommended and in fact may be harmful to the car.
Why buy something just because it is cheaper than a recommended fluid, I used Zerex G-05, this is yellow. The original fluid was the Mercedes fluid and it was blue. I flushed my system really well and when I looked at the fluid it was greenish, there must have been just enough blue in the system to change the colour, it is now changed to the yellow colour.
The fluid has to have the correct chemical composition and concentration, normally 50/50 to protect the engine, the colour is of no consequence. The coolant should comply with the MB325.0 specification.
