It was such a nice day on Wednesday (reached low 70's) that I decided to do a small upgrade. I bought some LED bulbs awhile back that fit the license plate lights. So I removed the lens covers and swapped out the OEM bulbs for the new LED versions. Since the lens covers were showing signs of deterioration after 14 years, I super-glued small flat washers (#6's) on the flanges where the screws are located. After letting these setup for about an hour, I then re-installed the light covers. When it got somewhat dark yesterday, I turned on the lights and was surprised how much brighter the plate shows up - even with a dark license plate lens over the plate.
