I'm no lawyer, but I don't think costs related to installation or removal are generally covered. The total cost just makes the situation that much worse for you. If you buy a brand new widget part for your car from Rock Auto, and you take it to your local mechanic to install, but afterwards they find it is bad and they have to remove it, Rock Auto is not going to reimbuse you for that labor. Maybe a small claims court would? Using Rock auto as another example they are going to cover the part only for x number of days irregardless of the number of miles. The timing between making the purchase and reporting the problem is critical. If the seller thinks he has a defense around the situation I think it would help a lot if he would step up and say what that is. Forum pressure has proven to work in the past.
Toolman I did notifly the guy the day i received the diff, asking what happened to the yoke and the rear cover he never responded ,I ordered early Nov. received in it took a month for him to ship and for me to rec. here is what he said

yet it came with out yoke and rear cover. yes my cost is close to $3000. but lawyer are using only $1450 diff +shipping the canceled ck i sent him.,, i think he cashed the check, then shipped 30 days later so i could not stop the check. anyway that part is done he just needs to check his mail ,,,and also see if there is a lien on his house. jim
