Default Just replaced the engine cover

OK, so anyone wanting to replace the stock XF engine cover with the proper one from Mercedes, the only # you'll need is 112-090-05-01. I just received mine after a 1 week wait for it to be shipped from Germany and within 5 minutes I was done with the replacement. Pull off the 2 intake tubes from the XF cover. Pull up on the back of the XF cover and then all around the rest of the cover to remove it. Put the new cover on the exact same way the old one came off and reconnect the 2 intake tubes. Thats it! Everything fits without changing tubes or any sort of conversion. Admittedly it doesn't do anything to increase the airflow over a stock XF cover (although the filters MAY BE a better filter I'm not sure) but it sure looks more natural in the engine bay than the "powered by Mercedes Benz" badge. If you're interested in doing the same to yours you can contact Joe Wood at Crown Mercedes in Dublin, OH. His # is 1-800-790-4666 and he's told me he'll be happy to sell them to anyone on the Forum as he did me. The total price was $254.40 complete with s/h to NY (My local MB dealer wanted $318. + tax). If you than choose to sell your stock XF cover you can recoupe a good part of the MB cover as I just saw an XF cover go for $145 on ebay. I'd like to post some pics of the new cover but I still can't get my pic's to upload and nobody's offered any help in that regard. Still getting 2 fatal errors every time I try to post pics. If I can I'll try another way.
