seems that somebody has been digging into the area of wheels for the xf, but with different goal, and it just shows how different our car is from any other regarding wheels.

especially for the goal i have in mind. changing to a smaller wheel diameter to fit tires with same outside diameter.
here is where the help from as many as possible can be the solution.

so, even if using most of the parts of the SLK , as mentioned here: ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merced...LK-Class_(R170) ) , and explaining it near the end ( "The platform of the R170 Mercedes SLK is also used by the Chrysler Crossfire, which shares 80% of its components with the car ".) sadly, that 80% does not include the wheels.
