Keith, the photo you posted is of the cords that hold the top up. I think the proper term is detent cable. My left one was broken and when I folded the fabric back to get a look I found the plastic T shaped piece was broken. When I looked at the one on the right side I found that it was also broken and sometime in its life someone had installed an eyelet style electrical connector on the cable and riveted it in place. This is my blue limited, it’s a daily driver and we have had the car for four years, the top has been up and down a lot. Figured if it had lasted that long I might as well do the same repair to the left side, so I did, seems to be working fine. Also just finished replacing all the hydraulic cylinders, a big thanks to Top Hydraulics for the rebuilds.
