My personal Mechanic, Kevin believes it is the PCM. Everything else has been replaced from the Crank Shaft Sensors, Wheel Sensors, CAM Sensors, Relay Module, and more . . . So its got to be the PCM Any advice for me on the PCM other than what I looked up on the web. According to the PCM troubleshooting info I read, all of the symptoms the Crossfire is having points to that PCM. Coding all over the place. I will say my mechanic asked me to go to Mercedes or Chrysler Dealer to perform further diagnosis. Mercedes no longer has software for the CF and Chrysler Dealer did do a diagnosis and told me it would cost an extra $500 to diagnose and confirm it is a bad PCM. No way. Unless I absolutely have to. Or return to another technician I used recently. The car is operating but lights are still on and will not pass inspection in July if the lights are on. Any further advice would be awesome. This forum has been a great HELP to me and my V6- 6 speed Crossfire. Thank you this much
There are several scan tools for under $250 that can scan both the OBD II codes and the Mercedes Codes. Your car will scan as a 2003 Mercedes SLK 320 if it is a Limited model Crossfire or an 2003 SLK 32 AMG if it is a SRT6. Your mechanic should have a scanner that will do the job. Guessing and tossing parts at it is not very productive. Please get the specific code numbers, not some wordy explanation from a mechanic. Scan the car as a Mercedes and we can go from there. Often those lights will remain on even when the problem has been repaired until the codes have been cleared from memory. That is why you must scan the car as a Mercedes and get into those specific codes.
Also the Service manual is available here on this website as a free download just click the red link at the bottom on onehundred80 post above.
