$20 Storage Lift Solution
This weekend I came up with a safe and inexpensive way to lift the weight of the suspension during storage. I picked up four scissor jacks from the local auto salvage yard for $5 apiece; all four are identical and have the hand crank attached. If you look at the jacking points on the car you'll see there is a molded block with an indentation in it, so I spot welded a 2" piece of 1" tubing to the top of each of the jacks to fit into the indentation. So now this fall when I put it into storage after a good waxing, an oil and filter change, I will drive the car upon the rubber mats to isolate the tires from the cement and then place the jacks under the car and raise the weight off the suspension. Then I'll install the battery monitor and put on the car cover and it will be put away for the winter.
