After a deeper dive.. turns out the drains were clogged. Not all the way, but clogged nonetheless. Took a wire bottle cleaner and a water hose to it. Hoping this will solve the problem. Just blows my mind that they would leave a huge hole like that open...
THAT IS NOT A HOLE!!! It is the air inlet for your A/C. If you block that off you will not have any air conditioned air. You will see that it is actually a door and it should open and close as to were you place the inside, outside air recirculating switch on your A/C control.
