A friend of mine's mother took her car to a Jiffy Lube for an oil change and they didn't put the bolt back in the oil pan. Engine ruined. What kind of idiot forgets to put the bolt back in? I'm guessing they just threw 5 quarts in from the top and it all drained out into the pit before they even started the car. You know there are lazy "professionals" out there who just toss the new o-rings that come with our filters and leave the old ones in place... Can't be bothered with doing it right and who's gonna know? Same idiots who can't be bothered with putting a bead of oil on the rubber gasket before screwing a common filter back on and then tighten the thing to the point you need a breaker bar to get it off. There's a reason they make all kinds of straps and sockets to break them lose.
