Default Run-Start Circuit Failure Leads to Top Nonfunctioning

UPDATE 9/6/2021: Problem solved! See post #5 below for the solution.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone. I bought my SRT6 roadster this past spring in Florida with a known issue with the top. Electrical function does not work at all - windows do not go down when the latch handle is rotated with ignition on, and light in top button is not powered. With my DRBIII emulator, I have verified all related modules are working (BCM, PTCM, CLP), and all switches, sensors, solenoid, etc are fine. The only anomaly was that the BCM-IGN Voltage output was showing “OFF” instead of “ON”. With that being the case that would certainly help explain why the electric top functions would be non-operational.

Upon further investigation I found F7 to be blown, preventing the Run-Start voltage to be present at the BCM. Fuse continues to blow so I suspect a short of some type. In the wiring diagram, the F7 circuit also supplies current to the Automatic Day / Night Mirror (which my 05 roadster does not have) and an Intrusion Detector (which is listed as export and I am assuming I don’t have) in addition to the BCM. Before I tackle the mess that is the Underhood Accessory Fuse Block, I just wanted to ask these questions for anyone who might know:
  1. Were the models after 04 prewired for the dimming mirror (I.e. 20ga. PK/RD/BK wire leading from the fuseblock up to the mirror location)?
  2. Are the domestic models prewired for the intrusion sensor, and if so where would that be located?
Would greatly appreciate any answers to these questions, or any other insight on where to look for the short.
