Congratulations on your purchase! Since it has been sitting for seven years I would guess that you put a new battery in it but have to ask anyway. The spoiler will go up on its own when it detects a low battery charge. Nothing has proven to daunting thus far but without The information found here and if we could not have found it elsewhere our Crossfire experience could have been a nightmare. With over 18 years of accumulated ownership history it is likely that any problem you will encounter has already been addressed and resolved by someone else so you just have to find it.
