Need help from all the experts on this board. Got my wife an 06 roadster about a month ago. I've been reading through a lot of threads on the subject but hoping that this new information might help in getting more specific guidance. The siren as never beeped, chirped or made any sounds until yesterday when we were driving on the highway at 60 mph and it chirped twice then nothing for 30 seconds then 2 chirps then nothing for 30 then 2 chirps so I pulled over, turned the car off, started it and it started fine. Turned it off again and pressed lock on the fob and not only did it lock the doors but I got 2 chirps!!! Got home, locked the car but no more chirps, tried panic button, nothing. Now, 1 1/2 days later, the siren goes off by itself in the driveway. I turned it off by unlocking the doors which is the only way it would stop. Now I've locked the doors, didn't get a chirp and the siren hasn't gone off again and I hope it won't in the middle of the night so here are my questions.
1- I don't want my wife to have this problem while she's alone and driving so is removing the siren the best solution until I can fix the problem or does anybody have another solution/suggestion?
2- Will removing the siren cause other problems?
3- Given the above information, does that point in a particular direction as to what the problem (s) is/are?
4- Will replacing the siren with a new one most likely solve these problems?
Looking for your guidance on this as I'm really at a loss right now.

PS After reading more threads on the subject, it seems some owners have had problems caused by the glovebox anti-theft sensor and I happened to lock the glovebox for the first time before these problems started so could that sensor be part of the problems I'm having with the siren?
