Thanks for the replies guys. I ended up removing the siren because it was getting worse and worse and the wife needed the car and the siren was coming on randomly and often and again, it was after she opened that glovebox so while I was at it, I took a look at the glovebox light assembly and checked both connectors. The light was not working and not burnt out but after closer inspection, there was 8.5V coming out of the 2wire plug but nothing going to the light so the small blue switch box must be shot. That being said, the other connector (4wire) has nothing coming out and certainly nothing going in as it would get power from the blue switch box which again seems to be shot. I'm guessing that the theft-alarm sensor gets a power indication when the glovebox is opened and the switch box is tripped but I'll have to figure that out later.
