Re: Heat exchanger upgrade / Cooling mod
Thanks nemiro on the Killer chiller idea. I just looked at your 113 install and i liked it allot. Wish i could do an engine change but i live in ca. I read you first planned on installing an tweaked srt4 engine and that would be cool also. I have a few backup PRV V6 engines for my old sand dragster they are B&S to 4.1lt one with twin turbos and another with an Magnson blower detuning them they still would make over 700whp on ca pump 91 and the sound of an odd fire v6 at 9.5k is awesome. I see you have not installed the KC on yours yet so let me tell you my personal experince. My friend has an 2017 gt 350 and just added an Kenny bell SC with an Killer Chiller set up. All i can say is that Kenny bell blower made that gt 350 a beast to keep it going in a straight line but the KC did not impress me for all the time to install and $$$. Not to knock it as it worked well as a daily driver for short 10 sec or less wot bursts spaced apart but at the 1/4 mile it was good for only 2 passes back to back. So i removed it and installed an very large heat exchanger, installed a 100hp nitrous setup with the fuel injected into the blowers intake and the nos injected at the intercooler intake. Also made 2 simple tube cooling ring 1 that sprays nos and the other washer fluid onto the heat exchanger and now he can run many 1/4 passes back to back plus he went from 14 to 15.5psi of coarse this all stops when his 2 10lbs bottles of nos are out of gas. I also think the stock srt6 engine has allot to offer if it was turbo charged and went with an good aftermarket fuel & timing managment system.
