Lots of fluid under 2005 Crossfire Limited
UPDATE: I got home tonight after taking the Crossfire for a short drive and when I was pulling back into the driveway I saw fluid on the driveway. The fluid appears clear but, and it isn't important how I know this, but it seemed to taste sweet for half a second and then a very bitter taste. I am thinking coolant? Anyhow thoughts? I also notice earlier today that on the front of the motor by the belt, there are white streaks of something all over the place. I welcome any ideas and how to figure out where and why...Thanks.
My wife came home and noticed a lot of fluid under my Crossfire yesterday. It was a puddle on the driveway that was a lot of fluid under the whole center of the car - from the engine back to the rear wheels. It felt like water but slightly greasy (very slightly) and had a very faint odor, so pretty sure not water. It wasn't the A/C condensation 99% sure (chilly night, not running A/C and too much fluid). Today about 2/3 of it had evaporated. It is chilly because of the weather. My brake and coolant reservoirs are full. I read somewhere that Mercedes coolant can be clear, but my reservoir look like it is more blue/green.
I do not see an indicator on the washer fluid. I tried the button to spray the washer fluid and it was empty. I bought a gallon of windshield cleaner and poured about half of it in and I saw the fluid rapidly pouring onto the parking lot so I assumed that was it. However, I then read somewhere (on this forum) that if the washer reservoir is overfilled it will run out behind the front tire (where it was running out. So now I am not sure it was the washer fluid, like I was certain it was for a few blissful moments. But the reservoir should hold more than a half gallon, I think. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I just got this car a couple of months ago after loving them and wanting one since I first saw one. It is a manual transmission and so incredibly fun to drive. Thanks in advance.
