Default Re: ARE Body Control Modules the same?

I’ve cloned my NA roadster into an SRT
I removed the speed deployed spoiler and swapped with a fixed wing

Initially retained original NA BCM. windows worked and top went down everything was fine go for a spin and All good. But when it came time to put the roof back up

press the top button and Beep beep beep was all that happened.
had to turn off car, restart and then could cycle the roof back up

I looked into the switch limiters and just couldn’t work it out.

In the event I need something in the future I had purchased a spare set of electronic from a wrecked SRT roadster.
ecu
bcm
skreem
ring
keys etc

Went to the part stash, dug out the BCM from the SRT and replaced my existing NA BCM

took me 5-10 min. Reconnected the battery and gave it a try. Problem fixed, top goes up and down and not waiting for a signal from a spoiler that’s been removed.

no programming required

I believe that there are 4 different BCM
2 - NA roadster and coupe
2 - SRT roadster and coupe

The 04 and SE models might also be different
