Default Re: Check engine code P0444

Update: i fixed this issue in 2019 by replacing the vent solenoid purchased at autozone. The solenoid wouldnt cycle when energized. When i hooked it up to 12v it wouldnt make a noise. I cant remember what brand that i had purchased. Anyway all was good for about 2yrs and then i get a P0455 code. I tried replacing fuel cap but it did not clear code. I put the aligator jumpers on vent solenoid again to see if same thing was happening (not cycling) but no solenoid cycled fine. Then i pulled solenoid and used a hand vacuum pump( mity vac) to test for leaking. Solenoid was leaking. If i put my finger over other port it would hold vacuum. So i purchased a vent solenoid from Amazon instead of autozone this time. It fixed the problem hope this one last longer than 2 yrs
