Sounds like you bought the Metra Harness 70-1786 (RCA plugs). You won't need to swap the Red & Yellow wires. That only happens if you bought Metra Harness 70-1784 (w/o RCA plugs). The 1784 harness is for VW & Audi applications, but can be used on M-B & Crossfire applications if the Red & Yellow wires are swapped. The 1786 harness is an update and it is no longer required to swap the wire colors on M-B & Crossfire applications.

You probably ought to review the attached DIY from Forum Member GregWork. His DIY write-up was one of the most straight-forward I came across regarding hooking up an after-market stereo to the Crossfire. (Note: Not sure what differences exist between the Infinity unit with or without NAV.) The Scosche VW01B wiring harness is identical to the Metra 70-1784 - both have no RCA connectors. Per pizzaguy, these wire harnesses enable you to direct-wire the speakers in the Crossfire.
