I was cleaning out the wiper drain areas of my car (collects leave and small pine needles every so often) and I noticed that the passenger side drainage was very slow when I used a hose on it measure the flow. I used a long plastic tie to try and clean the blockage and after a while the blockage must have been removed and the flow greatly improved. I filled the area up several times to verify the drain was no longer clogged. Later I noticed that I had quite a bit of water soaked into the passenger side carpet.

It's possible the water overflowed through the fan area and down that way.....I am hoping....but what is the possibility that I punctured the tubing and created a leak into the passenger compartment? Anyone know what the drainage tube looks like and is it even possible for a cable tie to puncture it? Is there sheet metal between that drainage area and the passenger footwell area?

I may have to carefully fill up that outside area again several times to verify I have not punctured the drainage path somehow.
