I'll drive mine through the winter. Both days!
As a general rule, we don't get snow in Dallas. We get ice. Usual accumulation is 2-3 inches. You can't drive on it like you can snow. It's funny when the yankees get caught in it down here and start complaining that they can't drive in "this mess."
It will last only a day or two and then it's gone. The city pretty much shuts down but that's a whole world cheaper than paying for the equipment to remove it. The cities break out the sand trucks and that helps.
I usually drive my Cummins when that happens but the automatic tranny and brutal torque usually means going sideways instead of straight. I carry a surplus collapsible shovel.
