Many times a slipping AT is caused by the AT fluid (ATF) being low. Buy a Mercedes-Benz 722.6 dipstick like this one:
and check your fluid level. If that fixes the problem you next have to ask yourself WHY it was low.

If your car has any error codes (the CHECK ENGINE light is on) read those FIRST and proceed accordingly.
