Default What would a perfect SLK55 look like as an r170?

Imagine that at the beginning of 2000th AMG thought that r170 SLK was the coolest thing in the world and wanted to go all in on it at the end of the lifecycle (2004ish). There is already an SLK32 out there. Some more powerful cars start to come out. Say they decided to make an SLK55. What do you think that car would look like, specifically?

Here is my thought process:
  • Engine: m113k
This one is tricky because in reality they would have copied c55 to a t. However, the m113k already existed and was being put into higher end cars. SLK not being a flagship and more of a lighter car would have never gotten it really. But we all know that it's not a Miata either and I think this could have existed as a limited run car.
  • Transmission
It would probably still be the speedshift automatic 5 speed. Would it have pedal shifters?
  • Chassi
    • Being a heavier car it would need firmer springs, but would it have anything else changed?
    • There probably would not be an airmatic or anything like that given the total weight and size of the car.
    • Would the breaks become larger than slk32? I currently don't think so.
    • It would probably get a real LSD instead of the electronic one.
  • Body
I feel like the body would stay the same, but the problem is that there is not enough grip on existing slk32 tire size. Would they have flared the fenders and put in wider tires and spacers the same way they did 500E, black series, etc?
  • Interior
I don't think the interior would have changed at all from an SLK32. The speedometer is already high enough and the rest of it is tied to the r170 platform. Maybe the pedal shifters and that's it?
I think there would have been more changes if this was the first black series, but that is a separate topic.

P.S. I will keep updating the initial message to keep the current list of specs.
