Lightbulb Re: Yeah another P0410 problem - Help Needed

I have had this error for a while. I went to my Chrysler Dealer, and they no longer have trained mechanics for the Crossfire. I went to Mercedees, and they told me to go away (I still have the email). bastards. So I decided to do it my self. I went to Army Moter Officer School in 1977 so I am not by any means a knowledgeable mechanic. I bought a PDF copy of the shop manual from eManualonline for $27 US I went and bought the cheapest OBD2 scanner I could find. Amazon had a MOTOPOWER MP69033 for $25 US. I then went through the system as per chapter 9-426 (P0410) Secondary Air Injection System. I checked all the fuses in the relay control module then unseated inspected and reseated all fuses and connections. Power was correct with my multimeter and all the wiring looked good. The air hoses were intact and had no holes or tears. I ordered

Secondary Air Pump 0001403785 Compatible with MercedesBenz C-Class W202 C240 CLK320 CL500 E320 E55 ML430 ML500 S500 AMG from Amazon for $81 US. It looked correct and when I removed the old one and put them side by side they were identical. I mounted it back on the car and reconnected the hose and power connector. Started the car and the check engine was gone. Turned off the car and used the code reader to check codes and they were all gone. I have a NYS inspection this month so I will see how it goes. Total cost to me was around $135 US Which is a very small fraction of what a dealer would get and total time was a little over an hour.
