Have seen similar in a couple of threads. After fully depressing the pedal and accelerating, then future acceleration from stops is almost none for quite a few seconds (dangerous). However, restarting the engine eliminates the symptom. Mechanic told me a code indicated accelerator pedal high sensor error (I was too dumb to ask for and write down the code, but I suspect it was P0223). From what I have read in the forums, I might solve the problem by replacing the Pedal Assy (in the parts list for my 2005 Chrysler Roadster partno 05102641AA on figure 14-1110). I found a good pertaining to the "washer" issue when replacing the Pedal. I also found what appears to be a "reasonably" priced new pedal assy on eBay

Any thoughts as to whether replacing the pedal assy is a good bet to fix the problem? Or perhaps the problem is further upstream?
