i know your posting was 9/21. However, i have a similar problem. Due to health problems i was unable to dirve. Battery dien go in car.pulled on lever and
nothing. Lever will not operate hood release. Does not have the tension. Was able to get inside of car using my key. Can you explain about to 10mm socket trick. Please help... P.s. I'm 79. Got a 2006 yellow roadster. Love it.
