I appreciate your help ... I think I understand you now, replace the leaking o-ring and leave the sensor in place ... but what should I expect to happen if I did remove it and blocked the hole ... not because of your "could do without" comment, but because I have thought about that exact thing ... I use the dipstick, didn't even know I could check oil level from the driver seat until the leak made me look into it ...
