It will shift back up, but once you have moved the gear lever into either "D-" or "D+" the transmission will remain in "MANUAL" mode until you either (1) restart the engine or, (2) HOLD the gear-lever in "D+" until you see the gear position indicator on the dashboard indicate you are in "D" again.
