Stored in a garage over winter months, with a cover on, there can still be moisture accumulating between the vehicle and the cover. Good to take off the cover periodically to allow fresh air to circulate around / through the vehicle.

I found this out with my motorcycle, covered in the garage most of the wet winter months. Can start to cause corrosion if not checked. Dependant on your climate.
