Dont't know if this helps but, the other day, I came across this thing with the High beams not working and I was dreading having to find either a used (getting rare as hen's teeth) or brand new (lets re-mortgage the house) Headlight Switch Assembly / Illumination Control Module.

In frustration and just when I was thinking of taking my unit out and apart to see if I could identify, fix or change the actual internal component thats not working, I decided to give the unit some swift light taps whilst it was still in place. Guess what, that fixed it!!!!

My conclusion is that if your Crossfires are "occasional use only" cars like mine are, then consider the possibility of electrical contacts gumming up or corroding due to little use.

These lovely cars were designed to used, so let's use them!!!
Too many people say that these cars have multiple problems, they do not take into account that they may have purchased a 13 to 17 year old vehicle that may have had multiple owners, some who may have just driven it and cared naught for maintenance. All the problems they have being caused by lack of maintenance and general abuse. I have never had a car this length of time except the one I have now because after ten years or so I was never sure that they would be reliable even though I had looked after them.
Rust was the main culprit and caused me to get rid of them. I only ever had new cars or demos except for a car I used as a second car and a extremely low mileage LHS.
Many of these cars have reached the bottom of the barrel, high miles and a history of abuse and neglect. If you have one of these good luck but do not blame the car.
