The real reason your local stealership will not work on them, is mostly a training and equipment issue (and some hurt feelings with the MB divorce). Suffice to say your much better off DIY most things and for those things outside your ability to DIY, take it to an independent European mechanic that has worked on MB SLK series vehicles. These cares are basically an SLK-320 (or) a MB AMG-32 (for the SRT-8's). Good luck!
